We host potluck parties ALL THE TIME in our neighborhood – The reason for the success of them is not in all packaging but the “come as you are” theme and bring what you have – it makes for a very relaxed, fun atmosphere – the food is ALWAYS good and all our bases are always covered. Sometimes less is best.

This is SOOOOO helpful. My family usually does potlucks but thats with 15 people at a house. I want to do a POTLUCK WEDDING!!! Yes, thats right, a potluck wedding with some of my favorite recipes from family members that can add up to 100+ people. The silverware prepackaging and asking for the recipe beforehand are great reminders.
